About Me

Welcome to Li’l Foxes©!

I’m so glad you have graced my pages with your presence. Whether you are here by accident or are returning out of interest, I hope you will enjoy your time here (as incredibly boring as it may be to many of you) and want to come back.

My name is Geniene Simrak – mother of two darling boys, Jonathan Elias (Eli) and David Gabriel (Gabe). I am wife of The Dan – a man of many talents and one who makes me feel like the most important person in the world. We have one child waiting for us in glory whom we are all excited to meet one day!

I have been blogging since I was pregnant with Eli back in 2005. I have not always been a consistent writer, but I enjoy posting things of interest and writing about different situations in which I’ve found myself as a wife and mother. The variety of posts range from news articles and recent happenings to words of inspiration and reflection as I have gone through struggles that this life brings. Some of them are deeply personal. I hope that they bring you comfort knowing that although life can look a certain way on the internet, life is certainly not a bowl full of cherries every day (for those of you that like cherries). Keep in mind that a lot happens off-line. The internet is not the place for exposing many things. While I like to share the joy that our boys bring us and bring a smile or a word of comfort to my dear readers, I try to remember that many of the things that happen around here are stories that the boys or my husband might like to share, or perhaps keep to themselves as it is their prerogative to do so.

I always love to hear from my readers. If you stop by, let me know. I’d love to know you were here!

My love for my family, and ultimately for my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, is the reason and driving force of my very existence. I pray that as you will no doubt see my humanity on these pages, you will also see that I am a work in progress. My sanctification has not yet been completed. But He who began the work will complete it. I look forward to that day. As I’m sure those closest to me do even more so.

Thank you, dear husband. I would hope that you know me well already. But the good news is, we have the rest of our lives to get to know each other better than we know ourselves. I love you.

    Hey Gen,

I was in your Twitter 101 class today and decided to check out your blog. I just want you to know I was blessed twice today, once feeling like I wasn’t a Twitteridiot and the second reading your page here. Sounds like we have something in common in our Savior Jesus! He is the only thing that keeps me even slightly grounded. My wife Cindy tries, but alas the task is just too huge!

Thanks again for the information this morning, and blessings to you and your family,

    jeff
