Talk About My Weight And I Just Might Wield It In Your General Direction
When people say to pregnant women…
“You look miserable.”
“You look like you’re going to pop any day!”
“Are you sure you’re not carrying twins? Maybe you should have your doctor check again.”
…don’t be surprised if someone walks away from that conversation with a black eye. And I guarantee it won’t be the woman in “the delicate condition.”
I am in my third trimester. I stillĀ have about two-and-a-half months to go. I am only going to get larger, more swollen, and more miserable. I’d really rather not go out in public. But since I can’t help that, I have to do my best at making myself look presentable, happy, and spry. I may or may not pull it off successfully, but in case you’re wondering, I may be slightly more fragile than I look. So be nice.
This past weekend was gorgeous weather. We decided to take a walk around town. We had to stop at the local carpet store to get an estimate for when we’re ready to lay carpet. The boys brought their scooters so we kept walking after our stop. Dan brought the camera so he got a few nice shots. He managed to take one of me standing (always theĀ preferable pose) – one that makes me feel a little bit better about myself.
This one is a different story:
Here are some others that he took on our walk:

You look gorgeous darling!
