Our Saturday in Pictures
So what did we do today while Dan was away? We had fun!

We went to the park and met new friends... and some enemies - Gabe didn't care that other kids were waiting for the tire swing. He did NOT want to get off.

Gabe has a newfound fascination with birds and wanting to fly. This particular pigeon let him get pretty close.

We ate at McDonald's and got Happy Meals with Green Lantern glasses that don't fit normal-sized heads.

Once home, I wanted to plant my flowers before the rains came. As I busied myself with something else, I found that Eli had taken the initiative and planted this flower without permission. But how could I be too upset? He did an excellent job! And he was so proud of himself for "doing art" as he said. For he got dirty and created something beautiful. (Even though he had ripped off most of the flowers and a few stalks. But they'll grow back, right?)

Then we ate dinner while watching "Mars Needs Moms." Truly a tear-jerker if you're a mom. And certainly gives kids an appreciation for mothers who discipline out of love.
We had our bumps along the way. But all in all, it was a profitable, bonding day.
One major bummer about it all: I discovered at the end of the day, I have honest-to-goodness cankles. I used to think I had pretty attractive feet. Not so, anymore. Any semblance of vanity I once had is gone with this pregnancy. I think I’ll be keeping my feet up tomorrow. Good thing it’s going to be raining all day tomorrow so I won’t be tempted outside.
